  • Create a client portal account
  • Purchase a package, membership, or gift certificate
  • Complete a contact or intake form
  • Subscribe to communications
  • Opt in to receive text message (SMS/MMS) notifications

Personal information may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, scheduling preferences, and session notes.

Payment information is processed securely through Stripe. I do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other financial information on this website. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.

Automatically collected information may include your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. This is used for site functionality and analytics.

2. How I Use Your Information

I use your information to:

  • Schedule, manage, and deliver your sessions
  • Send appointment reminders and confirmations via email
  • Send text message (SMS) reminders, booking confirmations, cancellation notices, and scheduling updates to clients who opt in
  • Process payments and issue refunds
  • Communicate about your care, including follow-up and session preparation
  • Manage your client portal account, packages, and memberships
  • Improve this website and my services
  • Comply with legal obligations

I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Session Confidentiality

The content of your sessions is strictly confidential. Information shared during sessions is not recorded, shared, or disclosed to any third party unless:

  • You provide explicit written consent
  • Disclosure is required by law (e.g., court order, mandatory reporting)
  • There is an immediate risk of harm to you or others

4. Third-Party Services

I use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Stripe, Payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
  • Google Calendar, Appointment scheduling and sync
  • Email service, Transactional emails (confirmations, reminders)
  • Twilio, SMS/text message delivery for appointment notifications

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. I only share the minimum information necessary for each service to function.

5. SMS/Text Message Communications

With your consent, I may send you text messages (SMS/MMS) related to your appointments and account. These messages may include:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Cancellation and rescheduling notifications
  • Session preparation instructions
  • Responses to your inquiries

Opt-in: You may opt in to receive text messages by enabling SMS Notifications in your client portal account settings, or by providing consent during the booking process. Opting in to text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.

Opt-out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message, or by disabling SMS Notifications in your client portal account settings. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your appointment schedule. Typically 1-4 messages per booked session (confirmation, reminder, and any changes).

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard messaging rates apply to all text messages sent and received. I am not responsible for any charges from your carrier.

I do not sell, share, or use your phone number or SMS opt-in data for marketing purposes or share it with third parties for their marketing use. Your phone number is used solely for the appointment-related communications described above.

6. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses essential cookies to maintain your session and enable features like the client portal and booking system. These cookies are necessary for the site to function and cannot be disabled.

I may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use this site. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

7. Data Retention

I retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide my services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:

  • Account data, Retained while your account is active, plus 2 years after last activity
  • Booking records, Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
  • Payment records, Retained by Stripe per their data retention policy
  • Session notes, Deleted upon your request or 2 years after last session

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information I hold
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of non-essential communications at any time
  • Stop SMS messages by replying STOP or disabling SMS in your portal settings

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. These include the right to know what personal information is collected about you, the right to access or delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. I do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You will never be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. To exercise a right, use the contact page, and I will verify your request before acting on it in order to protect your information.

9. Data Security

I maintain commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information, including:

  • Secure connections (HTTPS) for all data sent to and from this website
  • Encryption of sensitive records, including health-intake information and private notes
  • Passwords stored only in a securely hashed form, never in plain text
  • Optional two-step login (two-factor authentication) for administrative access
  • Access controls limiting who can view client information
  • Payment-card details handled entirely by a PCI-compliant payment processor, so full card numbers are never stored on this website
  • Automated monitoring of the software this website depends on, so known security issues are identified and addressed

No website or method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While I use the measures above to protect your information, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

10. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a breach that affects the security of your personal information, I will investigate promptly and notify affected individuals, and any authorities where required, as called for by California law (Civil Code sections 1798.29 and 1798.82). Notice will be provided without unreasonable delay and will describe, to the extent known, what happened, the types of information involved, and the steps you can take to protect yourself.

11. Children's Privacy

My services are not directed to individuals under 18. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe I have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact me immediately.

12. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of my services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
