Somatic Support for Clients Living with Autoimmune Conditions
When the immune system turns against the body it is designed to protect, something has gone deeply out of balance. Autoimmune conditions, whether lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto's, MS, or others, are among the most complex challenges in modern medicine.
While conventional treatment focuses on suppressing the immune response, my experience over twenty-three years suggests that there is often an unresolved layer beneath the autoimmunity that medication alone cannot reach.
What to Expect
Sessions for autoimmune clients are often gentler and slower-paced. Your body is already overwhelmed, the last thing it needs is aggressive treatment.
I work with cranial sacral therapy to calm the central nervous system, gentle myofascial release to address tissue restriction, and breathwork to create space for the body to begin its own rebalancing. Parts work may also play a role if the autoimmune flares seem connected to emotional patterns.
This is deep, long-term work. Clients with autoimmune conditions often benefit from a sustained relationship over months, with sessions spaced to match what their system can integrate.
