SOMATIC HEALTH & WELLNESS COACHING
“I am led by my body & soul, my mind follows. Not the other way around.”
Wayne Noel
I help create a healthy relationship between the subconscious mind, the body, and awareness in the present moment. This can help identify and rewire responses that trigger an unsettled nervous system. Becoming familiar with the way your nervous system responds to triggers can help free you from living in a survival state and bring about an increased sense of relaxation and vitality. As we clear away the remnants of survival programming and create space, you can replace it with a healthy sense of self and more peacefullness in daily living.
STRESS & AWARENESS
A common issue we work on is strengthening your awareness of how stress affects you as an individual, and where you hold stress related tension in the body. We also work on letting go of maintaining control, letting go of rejecting reality, and surrendering to what is… Most of the time, there is some aspect of your awareness that is very different from what you think it is. Gaining a realistic understanding of this is the first step towards embodying true change.
MIND VS INTUITION
I believe we derive direction and purpose from our mind and our intuition. Most people operate primarily from the mind, which is great at storing information and keeping us safe. Intuition is a collaborative partnership between the body & mind. I help people foster a healthy connection with their intuition, so that their mind (brain) works with the body in an equal partnership.
STRESS, ANXIETY, DTD, PTSD
Many of my clients are working with PTSD, DTD, C-PTSD, high stress, and high anxiety on a regular basis. I’ve been there too, and I understand on a deep level what it takes to achieve freedom from the grasp such things can impose.
MEDITATION & SOMATIC MINDFULNESS
Meditation helps improve neuroplasticity in the way it influences brain function and limiting thought patterns. Neuroplasticity is how adaptable a brain is at reprogramming and growth. This impacts one’s ability to process, learn, and remember things. It also affects our brain’s ability to heal from side effects of substance abuse, trauma (all sorts), and disease.
Meditation enhances communication between various parts of the brain, improving the effects of addictions of any kind, depression, stress related inflammation, and PTSD. When meditation is practiced with consistent commitment, patience, and discipline it truly builds a more adaptable and resilient mind.
Meditation and somatic mindfulness strengthens our ability to give unconditional presence to our inner self and help foster a healthy connection between mind and body, as well as between consciousness and the subconscious. It also aids in gaining control over the mind—one of the few things we can actually control in this life.
Without practice, as we get older even the most minor fears and beliefs that no longer serve us can seem insurmountable. Making them difficult to acknowledge, process, and resolve.
Our ability to live a fulfilling life well beyond middle age is directly affected by our own strength and willingness to maintain true presence and connection with ourselves and to confront all of the limiting beliefs as well as traumas that we have experienced.
I believe that the body is the subconscious mind, and it becomes ill without deliberate and consistent acknowledgement and willingness on our part to feel into everything that our bodies have taken on.
